Course Content
1. Facial Skin Treatments
100hr Module including Practical & Theory Classes
Manual facial practical including cleanse, secondary cleanse/steaming, skin analysis, tinting, brow shaping, facial massage and mask therapy. Skin histology, basic dermatology and skin analysis, applied facial theory, cosmetic skin care products and ingredients, bleaching.
Manual Facials consist of both theory and practical classes over a 100hr (12 month) timeframe. This course gives students the opportunity to learn the fundamentals about Manual Facials, history & trends, products, etc as well as precautions and general hygiene required to provide an effective and suitable treatment. Total Concept and/or ITEC Award in Manual Facials
Requirements: None
Students will receive a Manual Facials Certification on completion of their course. This course can be completed during full-time day classes or part-time classes.
Students are given 1 year to complete their course from their start date.
2. Make Up
50hr Module including Practical & Theory Classes
Our Make Up Course consists of both theory and practical classes over a 50hr (3-6month) timeframe. This course gives students the opportunity to learn the fundamentals about Make Up Application, make up history & trends, products, brushes etc as well as precautions and general hygiene required to provide an effective and suitable make up treatment.
Requirements: None
Students will receive a Make Up Certification on completion of their course. This course can be completed during full-time day classes or part-time classes.Students are given 1 year to complete their course from their start date.
3. Manicures & Pedicures
50hr Module including Practical & Theory Classes
Full manicure and pedicure procedure including hand and foot massage. Use of equipment and nail products. Specialised hand and foot treatments, paraffin & hot oil treatments, anatomy of the hands and feet, skin structure. Anatomy of the nail, nail diseases and disorders. Contra-indications, nail products and ingredients.

Our Manicures & Pedicures Course consists of both theory and practical classes over a 50hr (3-6month) timeframe. This course gives students the opportunity to learn the fundamentals about treating and looking after the natural nails as well as maintaining healthy hands & feet, using products as well as adhering to precautions and general hygiene that is required to provide an effective treatment.
Students will receive a Manicure & Pedicure Certification on completion of their course. This course can be completed during full-time day classes or part-time classes. Students are given 1 year to complete their course from their start date.
4. Holistic Massage
60hr Module including Practical & Theory Classes
Practical procedure of full body Swedish massage – including the face. Applied massage theory, classical movements and effects, contra-indications, skin histology, skin diseases and disorders. Infra-red treatment. Basic business studies and First Aid. Hygiene, professional ethics and client care. Case histories, theory and practical examination required.

Our Holistic Massage Course consists of both theory and practical classes over a 60hr (3-6month) timeframe. This course gives students the opportunity to learn the fundamentals about Massage Therapy, the classical massage movements as well as precautions and general hygiene required to provide a relaxing massage treatment.
Students will receive a Holistic Massage Certification on completion of their course. This course can be completed during full-time day classes or part-time classes.
Students are given 1 year to complete their course from their start date.
5. Anatomy & Physiology
50hr Module including Practical & Theory Classes
Anatomy & Physiology of both theory and practical classes over a 50hr (12 month) timeframe. This course gives students the opportunity to learn the fundamentals about history & trends, products, etc as well as precautions and general hygiene required to provide an effective and suitable treatment. Total Concept and/or ITEC Award in Anatomy & Physiology.
Requirements: None
Students will receive a Certification on completion of their course. This course can be completed during full-time day classes, part-time or online classes.
Students are given 1 year to complete their course from their start date.
6. Waxing
50hr Module including Practical & Theory Classes
Hot, strip and film waxing of legs, bikini, underarms, forearms and face. Skin histology and hair structure. Skin diseases and disorders, endocrine system, wax products and ingredients. Sugaring and other forms of hair removal.
Requirements: None
Our Waxing Course consists of both theory and practical classes over a 50hr (3-6month) timeframe. This course gives students the opportunity to learn the fundamentals regarding the removal of hair via various techniques including strip wax and hot wax methods. Products, techniques, aftercare advice as well as precautions and general hygiene are taught in order to provide an effective treatment.
Students will receive a Waxing Certification on completion of their course. This course can be completed during full-time day classes or part-time classes.Students are given 1 year to complete their course from their start date.
7. Spa Therapy & Management
50hr Module including Practical & Theory Classes
The course includes:- History of spa’s. Heat treatments, UV, infra-red treatments, body exfoliation. Back treatments, hydrotherapy, body wraps, e.g. seaweed & mud treatments, cellulite treatments and body massage. Professional ethics, hygiene, client care. Basic business studies and First Aid. Conversion from dry to wet room facilities, Case histories, theory and practical exams are required.
Spa Therapy massage consist of both theory and practical classes over a 50hr (12 month) timeframe. This course gives students the opportunity to learn the fundamentals about Spa Therapy, history & trends, products, etc as well as precautions and general hygiene required to provide an effective and suitable treatment. Total Concept and/or ITEC Award in Spa Therapy
Students will receive a Spa Therapy Certification on completion of their course. This course can be completed during full-time day classes or part-time classes.
Students are given 1 year to complete their course from their start date.
8. Reflexology
100hr Module including Practical & Theory Classes
The course includes:- Applied anatomy of the feet, ankles and lower leg. Applied anatomy of the hand, wrist and lower arm. The recognition of conditions/disorders of the feet, hands and nails. The history, theory, concepts and philosophy of reflexology including other complementary medicine. The holistic approach. Specific conditions. Demonstrating and describing reflexology procedures, techniques, referral areas and reflex areas (hands and feet.) Describing client reactions, the effects of stress on the body systems and contra-indications. Home care advice for clients. How to demonstrate a high standard of hygiene and professionalism at all times including professional ethics and client handling. Basic business studies and First Aid. Case histories, theory and practical examinations are required.
Reflexology consist of both theory and practical classes over a 100hr (12 month) timeframe. This course gives students the opportunity to learn the fundamentals about Reflexology, history & trends, products, etc as well as precautions and general hygiene required to provide an effective and suitable treatment. Total Concept and/or ITEC Award in Reflexology
Students will receive a Reflexology Certification on completion of their course. This course can be completed during full-time day classes or part-time classes.

9. Aromatherapy
100hr Module including Practical & Theory Classes
The course includes:- History, development and definition of aromatherapy. The holistic approach. Essential oils. Six methods of extraction. Adulteration. Botanical names, countries of origin, main therapeutic effects, safety precautions. Chemistry of oils, safe blending. Carrier oils. Biosynthesis, synergy, applied physiology including the effects of stress. Application of aromatherapy. Integral biology. Consultation procedures, contra-indications and after care. Pathology. Referral procedures. The ill, elderly and the young. Pregnancy. Safe aromatherapy for home use. Professional ethics, hygiene, client care and practice organisation. Theory of other complementary therapies. Basic business studies and First Aid. Case histories, theory and practice examination required.
Entrance requirement: Massage, Anatomy & Physiology
Aromatherapy consists of both theory and practical classes over a 100hr (12 month) timeframe. This course gives students the opportunity to learn the fundamentals about aromatherapy, history & trends, products, etc as well as precautions and general hygiene required to provide an effective and suitable treatment. Total Concept and/or ITEC Award in Aromatherapy
Students will receive an Aromatherapy Certification on completion of their course. This course can be completed during full-time day classes or part-time classes.
Students are given 1 year to complete their course from their start date.
10. Sports Massage
100hr Module including Practical & Theory Classes
The course includes:- Applied anatomy and physiology, with sports training, sports physiology and nutrition. Recognition of contra-indications, consultation, record cards and patient aftercare. Correct use of towels and massage medium including correct working posture. The uses, benefits and effects of sports massage. Sports massage techniques including general, abdominal and advanced techniques. Identifying musculoskeletal, acute and post acute injuries, the treatment of these injuries and stretching techniques. Exercise prescription and general home care advice. Professional ethics, client care and hygiene. Case histories, theory and practical examinations required.
Sport Massage consist of both theory and practical classes over a 100hr (12 month) timeframe. This course gives students the opportunity to learn the fundamentals about Sport massage, history & trends, products, etc as well as precautions and general hygiene required to provide an effective and suitable treatment. Total Concept and/or ITEC Award in Sport massage
Students will receive a Sport Massage Certification on completion of their course. This course can be completed during full-time day classes or part-time classes.
Students are given 1 year to complete their course from their start date.
Student’s wishing to study this module will be required to complete the following first:

11. Electro-Epilation
100hr Module including Practical & Theory Classes
Electro-Epilation consist of both theory and practical classes over a 100hr (12 month) timeframe. This course gives students the opportunity to learn the fundamentals about Electro-Epilation history & trends, products, etc as well as precautions and general hygiene required to provide an effective and suitable treatment. Total Concept and/or ITEC Award in
Electro-Epilation: Skin Treatments
Students will receive a Certification on completion of their course. This course can be completed during full-time day classes or part-time classes.
Students are given 1 year to complete their course from their start date.
12. Thai & Shiatus Massage
Complementary therapies involving pressure point and stretching techniques to re-balance energy channels within the body thereby providing relaxation.
13. Body Electrical Treatment : including Body Massage ,Anatomy & Physiology Course
150hr Module including Practical & Theory Classes
Body Electrical Treatments consist of both theory and practical classes over a 150hr (12 month) timeframe. This course gives students the opportunity to learn the fundamentals about Body Electrical Treatments ~ Incl. Body Massage, Anatomy & Physiology History & trends, products, etc as well as precautions and general hygiene required to provide an effective and suitable treatment. Total Concept and/or ITEC Awards.
Entrance Requirements: NA
Students will receive a Body Electrical Treatments ~ Incl. Body Massage, Anatomy & Physiology on completion of their course. This course can be completed during full-time day classes or part-time classes

14. Advanced Dermatology & Medical Aesthetics
In depth knowledge and analysis of the skin, skin types and conditions to effectively provide a client with the most beneficial treatment on a deeper level. Practical treatments in medical aesthetics such as microdermabrasion/diamond peel, skin blading, micro needling, plasma skin tightening and various skin peels.
More advanced product training in cosmeceutical and paramedical skin revision treatments is conducted. This module consists of both theoretical and practical classes.
Student’s wishing to study this module will be required to complete the following first:
a) Manual Facials
b) Facial Electricals
c) Dermatology
d) 3 years of workplace experience
15. Threading
An ancient eastern method for removing hair. A thin cotton thread is doubled then twisted, it is then rolled over areas of unwanted hair, plucking the hair at a follicular level. Threading allows for a more defined and precise shape and can create better definition for eyebrows.
This is both a theoretical as well as a practical based module.
Student’s wishing to study this module, will be required to have completed either a brow shaping workshop or have a waxing qualification.
16. Gel & Acrylic Nails
This training comprises of both theoretical and practical studies for the successful application of gel and acrylic nail systems.
Entrance Requirements: None
Course Dates: Specific dates throughout the year
This course can be completed in 2 weeks, additional time is allocated to students for the completion of their case studies.
Students will receive a Gel & Acrylic Nail Attendance Certification.
International Qualifications are available through ITEC for this course. Diploma in Nail Technology.

International Examination costs are dependent upon current fees, exchange rates and the number of examinations that each student elects to sit

15. Eyelash Extensions
Our eyelash extension workshop is a 2 day workshop, this workshop is done by an external Trainer.
The workshop fees are as follows:
Eyelash extension workshop (2 day) incl. lash kit
You will be taught how to do classic as well as hybrid eyelashes (There is an advanced course available should you wish to further your studies)
This is merely a practical workshop; you will be covering some theory at the beginning of the day but no tests will be written, at the end of this workshop you would need to complete and submit +- 5 case studies, once you have handed in your case studies the trainer will revert back to you whether you have passed or whether you would need to redo a case study. Should you pass you will then receive a certificate of completion.
To secure a place for this workshop you would need to pay a non-refundable R1000 deposit (deposit does get deducted from your workshop fees), the outstanding R5 800 of your workshop fees needs to be paid on the first day of training.
